Today, we came together at City Hall to honour and remember the brave firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our city. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.
I have been a strong advocate for our Calgary Fire Department, and I will continue working to ensure our firefighters have the resources and protections they need. When we stand behind them, we are not only protecting those who serve, but also safeguarding the families and communities they risk their lives for every single day.
We owe our firefighters a debt of gratitude — today and always.
